Parquet floor renovation / Renovace parket

19 August 2011

Here are two photos of a parquet floor renovation I did at our daughter's apartment.

The floors were originally laid in 1950 and they were in terrible shape. There was no way to get them flat. Nonetheless it was a big improvement.

I treated the freshly sanded parquets with a quick-drying oil specially formulated for parquet floors. Actually, in one room I used an oil-wax mixture and in the other room I used Carl's 90 Flooring Oil.

  1. It looks so much nicer after the renovation! I was thinking about also keeping the old flooring in my apartment as it's old, but very good quality wood, so it should be great after giving it a good refreshment, like you did to yours. I'm not good at this though, so I'm going to ask the home expert to do it for me.
