Basement baseboard

We had a ceramic tile guy out here to put up tile in the downstairs bathroom. There was some glue ("mud") left over so I seized the opportunity to make a ceramic tile "baseboard" where it is missing in the basement:

I'm not very good at laying ceramic tile, but good enough for the basement.

There are two sections like this where the baseboard is missing. The other is behind the bench. I'm recessing the tile so it will be flush with the wall. After it dries and I add grout, I will also plaster in the gaps between the wall and the tile. Then it will be done.
