We inherited an antique chandelier from our "Czech Grandma". It hung in her living room for approximately 60 years. There were several problems with it: most importantly, the aged wires inside the chandelier were shot. One of the light-bulb holders had come loose, and the stem was too long for our living room.
So, I did a complete overhaul - shortened the stem, replaced all the wires, reattached the holder that had come loose, and also put in a grounding terminal.
The wiring was simple, but fishing the wires through the narrow brass pipes was rather challenging.
Actually, the hard part was over by the time these pictures were taken.
The result makes the effort seem worth it.
